Abstract

In the development of the Chinese literature history of the 20th century, Zhao Shuli is an objective existence which shouldn’t be neglected. Just as Zhao Shuli’s uneven life experience and uneven creation of road, the evaluation of Zhao Shuli, passed through a period of "non-flat road.".As for Zhao Shuli studies, research ideas about Zhao Shuli which involve the fact that extollers want Zhao Shuli to "heave" and critics want Zhao Shuli into the "earth ", have long been proved to be "alone in this side" of the "one-sided" judgement.Zhao Shuli is a writer who is deeply rooted in the rural area and completely influenced by the farmers from the thought temperament to the living habit. I think that some researchers are still lack of comprehensive understanding of so called "peasant-based". The "peasant-based" is not low, not also vulgar, but a spirit of the awareness of civil society as a whole. Our finding of "Realism" and "the connotation of modernist" and "Idealism" from Zhao Shuli,is not the abstract of his spiritual connotation, but the overall aesthetic sense summarized from the "peasant-based" above. As a intellectual deeply influenced by the farmers, Zhao Shuli has abundant experience about folk life, has a more comprehensive and profound understanding of the fact that the folk culture plays an important role in the folk life. As the importance of the folk culture in the cultural life of the farmers, I think, to a large extent, the "peasant-based" mainly refers to the "folk-oriented". In this sense, folklore research carried out for Zhao Shuli, is able to "close" or even "enter" the real art world of Zhao Shuli, is able to really "dig out" the spirit of the connotation of Zhao Shuli. The author plans to use the related theories of folklore, pursue a comprehensive, systematic study of Zhao Shuli’s "creative thinking", "cultural identity", "work values", "creativity and resources" from this new point of folklore, by the specific combination of Zhao Shuli’s works and related research materials, in order to re-examine the overall spirit of Zhao Shuli’s sense of meaning and spirit. Thesis is divided into four parts. Respectively, to research the artistic expression of the folk custom thing, the structure and function of the folklore in the works of Zhao Shuli, and discuss about the construction role of the folk in the formation and development of Zhao Shuli’s aesthetic mechanism, the relationship between Zhao Shuli and the local opera. Through these analysis, I think,to a large extent the overall spirit of Zhao Shuli’s sense of meaning and spirit, is deeply based on the great concerning about the living condition and cultural life of farmers, fighting for the power of discourse for farmers.
