Abstract

The energy crisis and environmental pollution has become the two major problems facing the world today , especially in the study of the combustion process , the working process of the internal combustion engine cylinder become today 's internal combustion engine research hotspot , which use numerical simulation methods for simulation of the combustion process can be better overall predict the performance of the internal combustion engine , instead of part of the engine test , regardless of time limits under the conditions of variable parameters study of a variety of different conditions , to guide the design and development of new combustion system engine , optimizing the performance parameters of the original engine , but also on the different fuel power and emissions performance to make predictions , and has a strong vitality and superiority . This article to introduce the U.S. Los Alamos National Laboratory research and development of multi-dimensional the combustion simulation program KIVA-3V, its computerized transplant in digestion , absorption, based on the basis of calculation need to modify the output statement , and professional flow field handler visualization of the calculated results into intuitive , vivid three-dimensional and flat-screen graphics or animation files , more scientific and practical value . After direct injection of modified 1105 diesel engine cylinder flow field and the combustion process numerical simulation to get a large number of cylinder flow field and average performance curve , and the calculated results with experimental data comparison analysis . On this basis , the paper adopted several different combustion chamber shape grid of comparative calculations , discussed the shape of the combustion chamber of the cylinder flow field ; changing the working parameters of the load , the swirl ratio , injection time , analysis of the the power of the combustion process and emissions performance . Dimethyl ether ( DME ) , the numerical simulation results of the combustion process in order to get a \the computing capacity of the liquid DME combustion process . The extension cylinder diesel engine fueled with liquid DME , made ??a comparative study , and fueled with diesel draw dimethyl ether engine work is soft , low emissions conclusions , in-depth research for the next foundation.
