Abstract


Urbanization level is a measure of a country, a region, or even an urban agglomerations of industrialization and modernization, an important indicator of the level, but also the contemporary socio-economic development of a major trend for a long time much academia, government and the general public attention. Urban agglomeration in the North to South, east and west of the central axis region, the development of its economy and even the central and western regions of Henan in driving the economic development of great significance. Therefore, the research has received increasing attention, but there has been a systematic study is also unusual, studies about its urbanization is rare. Based on this, on the basis of previous studies, from an empirical point of view of the urban agglomeration urbanization status quo, existing contradictions and problems and their main influence factors to the successful implementation of urban agglomeration urbanization strategy, to promote the rise of Central China city group provide a theoretical basis and policy reference. First of all, from the time series, spatial differences and changes in the perspective of the urban agglomeration urbanization analyze the situation, and with the current group of other cities to compare the level of urbanization, come since the 1980s, urban agglomeration urbanization level gained rapid development, but the overall level of development and the national average and more perfect still relatively low compared with other urban agglomerations. Spatial pattern, level of urbanization and the growth rate showed a more pronounced regional differences, but with the increasing levels of urbanization, urban differences between regions within the group was gradually reduced, and the trend toward regionalization. Secondly, the analysis of the current urban agglomeration urbanization there are still some problems. Urbanization and industrialization in fact a pair of twin brothers, from the outset closely together. Coordination of both hands on a country (region) and the speed of the success or failure of economic development plays a decisive role. However, urban agglomeration current level of urbanization is far lagging behind the industrialized and in space there are more serious regional differences; tertiary industry as the largest industries to absorb labor, and urbanization there is a close relationship. However, the proportion of tertiary industry lack a certain extent, restricted the urbanization process; urban system also caused unreasonable to some extent, the level of urbanization slow development; addition, the healthy development of urbanization mean that the coordinated development of the quality and quantity , the current urban agglomeration in the number of urbanization to achieve a more substantial increase, but in terms of quality, there are still many problems, there is a low quality of urbanization phenomenon.
