Abstract


With the increasingly competitive society, as well as values ??and other factors affect the psychological problems of the students in the critical period of life generally increased, compared with ordinary students, poor students, especially psychological problems. Based on this, the poor college students is widespread concern as the object of study, the main purpose of two parts: the first part, comparing the situation of the poor students with college students mental health as well as social support; examine social support poor students, should be excited assessment, self-esteem and mental health. Second part, in the relevant conclusions on the basis of the variables, special groups for this study, social support, stress assessment, self-esteem and poor students mental health status, multiple regression analysis, to explore social support for poor students in stress affect mental health main effect and adjust the effect, and the combination of stress theory and self-esteem, devised a theoretical model, trying to figure out the mechanism of the role of social support on the mental health of the poor students through structural equation modeling. The study used questionnaires and interviews, questionnaires adolescent life event scale, the five sections of the Social Support Rating Scale, Self-Esteem Scale, State - Trait Anxiety Inventory and the Beck Depression Inventory collect information through should be assessment excited as independent variables, social support and self-esteem as the manipulated variable level of poor students in mental health research ideas as the dependent variable, the use of of SPSS12.0 well LISREL8.2 multiple regression analysis and structural equation modeling each variable fitting test . Interview study were randomly selected from all colleges and universities in Shanghai five poor students case interviews, the collection of information as a supplement of the survey. By the study, the following conclusions: (1) relative to ordinary college students, poor students get less social support, assessment of stressful events tend to aggravation, showed lower self-esteem, poor mental health, have reached significant differences in social support; ② poor students in urban and rural groups there was no difference, support no gender difference in the overall level of women superior to men only on the dimensions of the utilization of support; ③ The subjective support poor students anxiety symptoms the predicted role; subjective support and objective support on depressive symptoms of poor students have good predictive role; objective support, and support the utilization of more or less of a negative impact on the mental health of the poor students; ④ for poor students groups, social main effect support both exist in the relationship between stress assessment and mental health, and there is a buffering effect, but only on the situation of poor students anxiety buffering effect; self-esteem variables both a direct impact on the mental health of the poor students, and there is regulation, but regulation exists only for poor students suffering from depression.
