Abstract


Flight activities to pilot space put forward higher requirements, the study of spatial ability is an important area of aviation psychology research . Spatial ability is an important part of human intelligence structure , including two aspects of spatial orientation and spatial visualization . Visual imagery capability is the core elements of the spatial intelligence , visual-spatial representation of great significance in of special personnel selection and job performance assessment . Appearance - based mental rotation , spatial visual appearance of a representative experiment, has been used in pilot selection . 1970s , Shepard et al from the behavior point of view , a lot of research on mental rotation reaction time and error rate , the formation of the classical theory of mental rotation . Previous studies have shown that people must resort to the spatial reference system in order to know the spatial location and direction of resolution . In the mental rotation experiment , two mental rotation tasks ( object rotation and , as the rotation ) , involving , as center / center of self- reference system and object / natural frame of reference . Some scholars have suggested that due to the different rotation strategies , reflect on reaction time and accuracy as the dominant effect . Which , Carpenter and other people such as the dominant effect occurs only in cross-section . In addition , the environmental system ( the gravity reference ) position and rotation axis / plane can also have an impact on the mental rotation . When the object axis , the vertical line of the rotary shaft and the environment / gravity , the fastest reaction time .
