Abstract

[Objective] theory to explore the use of Febrile Diseases theoretical understanding of the etiology and pathogenesis, and diagnosis and treatment of severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS). Clinical aspects of the case analysis of Chinese medicine dialectical Wei syndrome characteristics of the gas card SARS patients; explore the efficacy of SARS patients using traditional Chinese medicine treatment of Wei, gas card. Theory of [method]: a systematic literature review from Western medicine on SARS research position; summarizes the understanding of Chinese medicine for SARS disease name, the incidence, etiology and pathogenesis, dialectical, etc.; Chinese medicine treatment of SARS situation under review. Clinical research: clinical manifestations (symptoms and laboratory tests results) of the 60 cases admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine Syndrome is a Methodist, gas cards SARS patients for statistical analysis, and summarize its syndromes characterized. Shufeng heat, dampness detoxification \Its efficacy indicators (average cooling time after admission, the average length of stay, the chest radiograph inflammation shadow began to absorb the average time, chest X-ray lesions significantly absorbed or totally absorb the time, the cure rate) for statistical analysis. In the case of difficult to set up a strictly Western medicine treatment control group, better take the same period comparable to literature reports that medical treatment group efficacy endpoint control. The part of the patients six months after hospital discharge follow-up, follow-up project, including blood, urine, some blood biochemical parameters and immune parameters, X-ray photographs of the hip, hip NMR, chest spiral CT imaging studies . Estimate the long-term effect of the group of Chinese medicine-based treatment of SARS patients, including part of the inspection results with the same period in healthy people were compared to corresponding results before and after itself part of the inspection results with the patients on admission control. [Results] syndrome characteristics: 60 cases of the case of Wei dialectical, the gas card SARS patients admitted to hospital with wind-heat, dampness, heat toxin syndromes characterized. Efficacy: 60 patients were cured and discharged. Mean fever clearance time (4.1 ± 1.9) d, the chest radiograph inflammation shadow began to absorb the average time (4.2 ± 3.2) d, the lesions apparent absorption or totally absorb the time (8.4 ± 4.6) d. The average length of hospital stay (9.0 ± 4.9) days. The cure rate was 100%. Where the incoming battalion blood points, no cases of ARDS patients with immunoglobulin and anti-viral medicine, example uses a continuous positive airway pressure mask oxygen. 60 patients, 5 cases (8.20%) over short-term application of dexamethasone, no cases of pulmonary fibrosis change or bone necrosis during hospitalization. The obvious advantages compared with the same period in Western medicine treatment group. Long-term effect: to participate in follow-up of 31 patients were cured of serum IgG, IgM antibody complement C3, C4 content, as well as peripheral blood lymphocyte subsets (CD3 ~, CD4 ~, CD8 ~ cells and NK cells) count results with the same period in health examination by comparison, the difference was not statistically significant; 33 cases were cured the blood biochemistry ALT, AST, BUN, CREA only a few mildly abnormal ALT
