Abstract


In this paper, the mode of operation of private foundations in Australia and its sponsorship of the arts and culture behavior and impact of research direction, select the three classic the private foundations cases for the study . Background of these three foundations , the personality of the founders of experience and motivation of philanthropy visits , outlines the historical context of the development of private foundations in Australia , and then the internal mode of operation, the Foundation patron of the arts strategy , and since the 20th century three private foundations in the 90 years since the classic patron of the arts project to do specific studies to determine the differences and commonalities between the foundation ; on this basis , we further investigated the private foundation working relationship with the Australian Government to clear private funds will be an important part of the Australian Government non-profit sector ( third sector ) , further pointed out that plays an important role in promoting local culture and establish a national cultural identity in contemporary society . Of this writing, the use of arts management case studies, history, sociology , research methods and statistical principles .
