Abstract


Sculpture, history is the history of human use of the material , relying on the existence of sculpture on the basis of material existence . And post- modern sculpture modern sculpture understanding and application of the material is not the same . The use of materials in a way, that the progress of human society and civilization . Modern sculpture in the form of material utilization and exploration is tightly bound together , with industrial civilization backdrop of new materials and technology generation , modern sculpture on the materials and technology to expand the presentation of the vigor and vitality greatly enriched the language of modern sculpture . Stage is a modern sculpture sculpture materials and forms exploratory stage. During this period, sculpture out of the nobility , imperial and religious services, practical, completely into individual artistic sculptor , sculptural beauty of form and materials into the beauty of the exploratory stage. And practicality of separation become pure art, art for art completely , becoming an important feature of this stage sculpture . The generation of post-modern sculpture and its different schools and different artistic styles , are built on the highly prosperous postwar economic basis , have demonstrated a reflection on the economy and social concerns in the post- production stage of modern sculpture establish the post- modern sculpture on the materials used rule: to cut sculptures convey ideas to work to grasp the material ultimate intentions . Post-modern sculpture in the choice of materials broadened , and traditional sculpture compared to the selection and use of materials , stressed the concern is the meaning behind the material itself . More sculptures this stage is by the use of materials to illustrate the meaning of meaning sculpture , sculpture from the traditional meaning of the image - form - and to the idea of the era. Material is not confined to the traditional concept of stone , bronze, sculpture materials , etc. , but the concept can be extended to allow forms to convey all the materials , including the ability to use a variety of figurative and abstract composition of materials and material forms .
