In petroleum engineering job , the design of the casing string is a basic and important work , downhole casing to withstand the internal pressure , axial tension , formation outside the squeeze force stress ; under thermal stress , kava , sealing packer downhole equipment such as the local effects of the complex stress . The traditional design Antao column in the pit may withstand the harshest working environments to determine the size of the force , and then take reasonable design to ensure the safety of the strength of the casing string and make it able to meet the needs of long-term production of the oil field , it is mainly dependent on the designer's experience and level of scientific and reliable design has great human factors in the choice of casing . Therefore , seek scientific and design method is necessary and urgent to ensure safety , reduce production costs . The genetic algorithm is based on biotechnology and the development of a new type of intelligent optimization method , combined with the casing string design method to optimize the choice of the casing string is the focus of this article . By establishing the goal is to minimize the cost of the mathematical model , using the binary coding method , design genetic algorithm selection , crossover and mutation operator and its execution parameters , especially using the improved method of the best preservation strategies to ensure understanding of the rapid convergence ; on this basis , the use of the C language optimization procedure of the preparation of the casing string . Finally, the combination of the actual production operations and ideal results prove that the use of genetic algorithms to optimize the design of the attempt is successful on the casing string .
