Abstract


The study of contemporary political culture started from Almond, an American political scientist, and the concept of political culture and research imported from the West to China in the mid-80s of the 20th century. The Chinese political scientists have done various explanations from different perspectives on the political culture, meanwhile have formed consensus on the definition of the political culture, and have obtained the certain research results. This indicates that the contemporary political culture ecological construction adapts the Chinese politics culture development, which is of very important value and the significance.In this thesis, the study of the concept and the rule of ecology leads to the concept of the political culture ecology. The political culture ecology is dynamic environment of the movement and development in the political culture system, composed together by mutual connective factors, for example, domestic politics, culture, economy, society and domestic environment and so on. Then the paper analyses the factors and features of the contemporary Chinese political culture ecology, that we should lead the dominant political culture which under the guidance of Marxism as the commander, allowing a variety of democratic, open and rational political culture which adapt the development of the contemporary socialist political and cultural coexist, and promote to a hundred flowers blossom and a hundred schools of thought contend, establish a new type of socialist political and cultural ecology with Chinese characteristics. The research of this article on the political culture ecological construction in contemporary China includes two interrelated aspects: on one hand, it needs to focus on the spiritual level construction, that from the collective property into individual property, emphasizing people-oriented, gradually moving towards civil political culture; from the traditional authoritarian political culture to the modern significance of the Chinese democratic political culture, and it is the limited centralization and controlled and orderly democracy; changes from the rule by man to the rule by law; political morality is of great value significance on the contemporary Chinese political culture ecological construction; on the other hand, it needs to focus on the behavior level construction, namely further expanding citizen political participation, to achieve political socialization; we should strengthen and improve political reform in leadership and governance of the Party’s, carry on the political reform, and strengthen the legal construction; we need an all-round and objective assessment to China’s traditional political culture, and correct treatment with the Western political culture; we need to improve socialist system of political values with Chinese characteristics. Two levels of analysis of the contemporary Chinese political culture ecological construction are the research emphases in this thesis, and it provides an ideal route choice for constructing harmonious political culture in China. The development direction of political culture ecological construction in contemporary China is the construction of the harmonious politics culture, which is a new development of the theory of Marxism, will give great significance to propose the socialism harmonious society and the construction in the 4th plenum of the 16th CPC Central Committee.
