Clinical study of Qiaoruisu capsule in the treatment of acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis of phlegm heat obstructing lung syndrome

Abstract


Objective To investigate the clinical effect and security of Qiaoruisu Capsule on chronic bronchitis in acute stage caused by phlegm-heat stagnated in lung, and to explore the mechanism of this capsule.Methods Random, double-blind, comparative parallelly designs were taken. Eighty cases of chronic bronchitis in acute stage caused by phlegm-heat stagnated in lung were observed which were randomly and averagely divided into treatment group and control group. Treatment group were treated with Qiaoruisu Capsule while control group were treated with Shedan Chuanbei Capsule. Both groups took medicines orally. The period of treatment was 10 days. The symptoms and signs were observed at the 1st day before treatment, the 3rd day and the 7th day during treatment and the 1st after treatment. The correlative examinations were taken both before and after treatment. All data were soluted by SPSS11.0. Result Effect of treatment group was 64.8%(ITT )and 64.8%(PP ), and thetotal effective rate was 94.5%(ITT) and 94.5%(PP). while the effect of control group was 62.5%(ITT) and 61.8%(PP),and the total effective rate was 92.5%(ITT) and 91.2%(PP).There was no significant difference between two groups(P>0.05) .The symptoms and signs, compared with these before the treatment of two groups both got better obviously (P<0.05) . No abnormity was found after scurity analysis.Conclusion Qiaoruisu Capsule has obvious effect and scurity on Chronic Bronchitis in acute stage caused by phlegm-heat stagnated in lung.
