The appearance of laid-off phenomenon has brought about the problems of laid-off workers’ ideological and political work. Therefore, if the study of laid-off workers’ ideological and political work don’t be continued deepening, if the work on laid-off worker’s ideology and politics don’t be further strengthened, the harmony of the socialist reform can’t be safeguarded, the overall development of laid-off workers can’t be promoted, the social stability can’t be maintained, all positive factors can’s be shifted extensively and fully, the safe of the party’s power can’t be guaranteed, and people can’s work hard for building the socialist harmonious society. In this text, the author attempts to regard the combining theory and practice as the fundamental study method. The author used the documents and relevant real materials to probe and study laid-off workers’ ideology and politics state, the work’ characteristics, the success, the main problems and the thought of strengthening the work on laid-off workers’ ideology and politics. The author thinks that the mainstream of laid-off’ workers ideology and politics state is positive and upward, and the paces of the tendency and social development are in harmony. The author keeps admitting to the route, principles and policies of the party, too. But there is much conservative, backward, passive and wrong thing among them. For this reason, to make great efforts to do the work is necessary. Laid-off workers’ ideological and political work has four major distinct characteristics, including the plasticity of the idea on choosing a job and psychological quality, the warmth of omni-directional humane, the service of promoting re-employment and the closeness of sticking to laid-off workers real. The laid-off workers’ ideological and practical work has had a remarkable effect. But there are many problems that should urgently study theoretically and further strengthen and improve practically.
