Abstract


In the field of satellite communications for LEO satellite mobile communication system research hotspot in recent years . Location management techniques LEO satellite mobile communication system as a key technology , the relationship between the performance of the entire network . With the growing number of mobile users , location management strategies and network signaling load on the network load database access are increasingly affected significantly . Good location management strategies can significantly reduce system operating costs and significantly improve system performance. How to find the equilibrium position and location registration overhead reducing system for location tracking of mobile users and the total cost of finding location management on the main points . This paper focuses on LEO satellite mobile communication system location management technology, combined with LEO satellite mobile communication systems are characterized by the position put forward the corresponding management strategies , including three elements : a step forward pointer location registration strategy , the use of dynamic cell code location update program and location registration multi-satellite selection strategy . In the second chapter, considering the laws of LEO satellite motion causes two ground stations repeatedly registered users phenomenon, and results in large signaling overhead , made ??a step forward pointer location registration policy , when the user moves to a new VLR an area , only in the old VLR creates a pointer to the new VLR, not the new registration message to the HLR, thereby greatly reducing the signaling overhead of user registration . In the third chapter , the use of cell identification code CIC (cell identification code) program to achieve LEO satellite network distance-based dynamic mobile user location update program . Distance-based solutions in a dynamic location update scheme of the three scenarios, the best kind of performance . In addition, through simulation analysis according to each user to dynamically adjust the distance threshold , can reduce the total consideration of location update and paging . In the fourth chapter, mainly for LEO satellite mobile communication system exists the phenomenon of multi-satellite coverage proposed location registration multi-satellite selection strategy , considering the elevation and time coverage factor of two satellites as an option to register a reasonable standards to to ensure a relatively long time and good coverage paging channel conditions , thereby reducing the overall signaling overhead location management , optimize system performance.
