Abstract


Local colleges have an important position in China’s higher education system, as an important basic of our higher education, they are playing an important role of its reform and development. In the development of local colleges, Principals as the top leader of local colleges play an important role. This objectively requires the principals within higher quality. Quality of the principals is the basic premise and internal security to fully play its role. With the depth of reform opening and modernization, the continuous deepening of the continuous development of higher education, if principals of local colleges not have a higher overall quality, it is difficult to them to adapt to the needs of the development of local colleges, even may lead to a negative impact to the development of the local colleges. Based on the in-depth analysis of the status of our local colleges, this paper mainly discuss the problem of principles quality, and put forward some advices of improving the quality of local colleges principals.First, by reviewing the background and research status of the quality of local college principals, I mainly tried to present the theoretical and practical significance of my study. On this basis, I elaborated on the research methods in this paper.Secondly, I analysis the right location and status of the development of local colleges. The development of the local colleges must base on the local economic construction, attention to the regional social integration, and also make full use of local advantages in resources and thus find their places, in their efforts to cultivating innovative talents, a reasonable set of professional disciplines, as well as efforts to promote the development of scientific research.Again, on the basis of analysis the development and the status of local colleges, I attempt to explain the principal contents of the quality, including a deep theoretical, long-term strategic thinking, scientific capacity for development, the strict school management, and harmonious human care.Finally, I attempted to propose some constructive suggestions to promote the quality of local colleges, including the advanced foreign experience, improve the principal’s selection mode, and explore the principals training mechanism.In the new situation, upgrading the quality of the principal of local colleges continuously has an important role in higher education development and reform a new topic and tasks for local colleges, as well as the development of higher education in our country as a whole.
