Objective: To investigate the transforming growth factor β1 ( Transforming growth factor beta1 , TGF - β1 ) gene polymorphisms and susceptibility to type 2 diabetic nephropathy (Diabetic nephrophathy, DN) relationship , determine the type 2 diabetic nephropathy susceptibility gene test from gene level to explore the pathogenesis of diabetic nephropathy , early intervention to provide a reliable theoretical basis for screening high-risk groups of diabetic nephropathy . Methods: Using polymerase chain reaction - restriction fragment length polymorphism analysis (Polymerase ChainReaction-Restriction Fragment Length Polymorphism, PCR-RFLP) detection T29 → C (Leu10/Pro) of the TGF-β1 gene polymorphism , a total of 229 cases in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM) 167 , calculated urinary albumin creatinine ratio ( albumin to creatinineration ACR) , divided into microalbuminuria proteinuria ( UA ) 44 cases , a large number of white proteinuria ( MA ) 36 cases of diabetes non nephropathy [ DN ( - ) ] 87 cases ; healthy controls (NC) 62 . Group allele frequencies and genotype frequencies , statistics, its distribution if there is a significant difference . By double antibody sandwich ELISA , the serum level of TGF-β1 determination of all subjects . Measured weight, height, fasting blood sugar , blood pressure , cholesterol and other general clinical indicators . Results : 1 in type 2 diabetes and control groups were detected in the two TGF-β1 T, C allele , the three combinations of genotypes TT , TC , CC . Normal control group with type 2 diabetes in the TGF-β1 genotype frequency distribution no significant difference [ CC, TC , TT = 30.6% , 43.6% , 25.8 % ( NC group ) VS.42.5 of 37.7% NC group ) VS.61.4 % , 38.6% ( DM group ) , X - 2 = 2.999 P = 0.083 gt ; 0.05] .
