Abstract


With the improvement of science and technology, it has long been relying on paper as the main carrier of traditional publishing models already cannot adapt to today’s society needs, meanwhile, based on binary technology digital publishing as a new mode of publishing, gradually become the development trend of the publishing industry. Digital publication for the press and publication industry, it is the survival of a major facing the technological revolution, it is traditional publishing industry development opportunities, but also brings more severe challenges.Electronic books, digital journals, online games and mobile publishing digital publishing industry has developed rapidly, while most traditional publishers are subjective and dependent on the paper due to the publication of books and the ISBN on the dispensing system of protection, objectively speaking, is restricted by the in the capital, technology and personnel constraints, and relying on a strong financial and technical advantages of gathering the content of resources, technology service providers are still competing at a comparative disadvantage. Digital publishing has grown in strength to promote change in traditional publishing to meet the new development requirements, this change reflected in changes in patterns of information dissemination, publishing carrier change, publishing change.Digital publishing to traditional publishing industry is the relationship between his life and death a major technological revolution, both as to the traditional publishing industry has brought about development opportunities and a more severe challenges. China’s digital publishing traditional publishing industry faces opportunities, mainly in: China’s rapid economic stability and development, and publishing industry to speed up structural reform, technological advances digital publishing, digital publications, the demand and great potential. Chinese Traditional Publishing Industry Development digital publishing challenges are: the industry chain is not perfect, the relative single-profit model, the user reading habits and needs of digital culture, digital publishing copyright protection needs to be strengthened, technical standards have not been reunified, the digital publication of the shortage of talent.Digital publication market development condition, the digital publishing industry healthy and sustainable development. The paper discusses the competition and challenges of Chinese digital publishing industry. In view of China’s digital publishing industry development process of some problems existing in foreign successful experience of publishing group based on the traditional Chinese publishing, puts forward the development strategy of digital publication.
