Abstract

In this paper, we synthesized two polyoxometalates in the water solution conditions containing SbCl5 and Na2WO4·2H2O/Na2MoO4·2H2O as raw materials, which both take high-valence antimony as heteroatom.1. A new tungstoantimonate compound which bear Dawson-like type structure has been synthesized in acidic aqueous solutions: (NH49[SbVW18O60(OH)2]·25H2O (1)Compound 1 can be considered as a D(3d0-symmetric {W18O54} cluster shell embedding in a D3d-symmetric {SbO6} unit representingγ*-isomer, the antimony atom is coordinated via six oxo ligands within the cluster center. Also, two oxygen atoms linking the capping units inside the cluster are both monoprotonated by Bond Valence Sum (BVS) calculations, enhancing the stability of the cluster. Moreover, the compound has been characterized by element analysis, IR, TG, UV, PXRD and single–crystal X–ray diffraction analysis. Compound 1 represents the first example of Sb(V)–containing polyoxometalate with Dawson–like construction.2. A new bent Anderson molybdoantimonate compound has been made: [Na4(H2O)(160]H[H2SbMo6O24]·3H2O (2)Compound 2 is a heteropolyoxoanion with bent non-planeβ-Anderson construction, and the compound has been characterized by element analysis, IR, UV, and single–crystal X–ray diffraction analysis.
