Abstract


With the promotion of people’s living standard, more and more attention is paid to the living environment and environment protection. People need a system to get real-time environmental information of the intelligent communities and make a comparison about them. There are a lot of intelligent communities which are wildly distributed in the city, so a distributed and remote information acquisition system is needed.To monitor the environmental data in the intelligent communities, the complete environmental data acquisition system is presented based on modem sensor technology, GPRS, TCP\IP network, and.NET server development technology. The System is consisted of lots of clients each in an intelligent community and a remote centeral server. With STR750 SOC as its controller, the clients are connected to the server via GPRS network and Internet. The system can collect some environmental data according to national standard, including temperature, humidity, wind direction and force, ultraviolet radiation intensity, oxygen concentration, carbon dioxide concentration, noise level and the intensity of inhalant suspended particles. And then these data are uploaded to central server immediately. A professional website for the intelligent community environment will analyze these data and publish them to people.Firstly, the future of intelligent community and the actual status of distributed environment acquisition system are given in the paper. Secondly some key technologies related to the system are discussed. Thirdly, the complete system of distributed environmental data acquisition is discussed. Finally, the paper details the design of clients’software and hardware system, server database management, and environmental data management software.
