Abstract


Since World War II, national economies have been growing rapidly, but also caused great harm to the ecological environment. On the basis of the review and summary of the economic development and the road, the gradual establishment of sustainable development in view of the economic outlook, and this concept is applied to the evaluation of regional development. Some of our experts and scholars also combined with a specific area and made a lot of useful exploration. The authors believe that a benign regional development can ultimately be attributed to the sustainable development of the regional economy, therefore, this paper focus on evaluation of the sustainable economic development of Chongqing; sustainable economic development within the economic system is not limited to, but on the economic, social environment coordinated development of the three systems on the basis of the economic system is the internal pillar system of sustainable economic development, social and environmental systems are important external support systems for sustainable economic development, but the important inside and outside the two systems are different weight; sustainable development of the regional economy, the economic system of the right weight should be higher than the social and environmental systems. Based on this idea, the establishment of a sustainable regional economic development capacity evaluation index system, the relevant literature in reference to the choice of the evaluation. The index weights determined using the Delphi method and analytic hierarchy process. The text is divided into five chapters. The first part is an introduction, discusses the origin of the theory of sustainable development, connotation, basic principles, research status, the theoretical framework for the sustainable development of the regional economy, and innovation of this paper. The second chapter is the evaluation of Chongqing sustainable economic development status, mainly from the qualitative point of view to explain the status of three systems of Chongqing economic, social, environmental development clear gap between Chongqing three main indicators with the rest of the country. Chapter dynamic evaluation part, to the annual change of the quantitative analysis of sustainable economic development capacity through the establishment of a series of evaluation index system; can be seen from the results of the evaluation, sustainable economic development capacity has been greatly Territory since the improvement, but showing some of the volatility, the reason for this fluctuation is multifaceted. Chapter comparison for different regions, the authors selected eight provinces and cities in eastern and western provinces, municipalities, and the country as a background to measure the gap between sustainable economic development capacity with the developed eastern region and in similar areas of the west, and analyzes the influencing factors causing this situation; can be seen from the results of the evaluation, sustainable economic development capacity not only there is a larger gap between the eastern region and compared with similar areas of the west, but also in the after column. Chapter Development Opportunities and Strategies, through horizontal and vertical comparison, an objective analysis of opportunities to enhance the capacity for sustainable development in Chongqing Economic times on the basis of proposed countermeasures to improve the three systems of economic, social, environmental. Finally, it summarizes the conclusions of this study.
