Abstract


With the development of society, the virtual reality technology has become one of the important technologies that affect people's lives and development , it is widely used in the fields of military , medical , education , construction and entertainment . Urban 3D visualization system is an important aspect of virtual reality technology applications , it is not only to achieve digitization and virtualization of the city three-dimensional landscape and surrounding environment , and a forward-looking basis for the planning and development of the city . This article consists of four parts , the first virtual reality technology , this technology theory , pointing out that the three-dimensional visualization and virtual reality technology . The second part of the city three-dimensional visualization system designed system requirements analysis, design goals and technical programs . The third part through the comparison of the strengths and weaknesses of the existing modeling software 3ds Max modeling system related to the entity as a modeling tool . Fourth part , built on the basis of the model , by constructing the scene and the use of OSG 3D rendering development tools to complete the urban 3D visualization systems , navigation system , particle effects , roaming and other functions . Finally , this paper summarizes summarizes the main contents and pointing out the deficiencies . The innovation of the paper : ( 1) for a specific city concrete and practical needs analysis and system design ; ( 2) 3ds Max tools to carry out the detailed design of the model of the city's buildings , roads and trees and flowers and the establishment , and through a variety of weather conditions to reflect the climate of the city scene ; ( 3 ) the use of open source OSG development tools to achieve the city 's three-dimensional visualization system to achieve simple screen , easy to operate, rich in content as well as proximity to effect of its habitat . Practice has proved that the system not only for city managers and planners to provide a better means and tools , but also has good prospects for development and application .
