Abstract


The varieties and differences of students with sight deficiency has been a complex and confusing problem and bothering the teaching and management of schools for the blind for a long time. The present teaching work administration mode of schools for the blind, in which teaching and leaning is carried out in fixed classes according to fixed time schedule, overlooks the unique physical feature and personality of blind students. It must be transferred into individualized teaching work administration mode in order to meet the special needs of blind students, to compensate their health deficiency to the greatest extent, and to develop their potential. This thesis, based on the individual differences of students with sight deficiency and the present conditions of teaching and management of schools for the blind , analyses the problems existing in the reform and probes the individualized teaching work administration strategies fit for the characteristics of blind students and their development demands.The thesis develops from problem description to cause analysis till strategy probing. First, the thesis, through investigations and typical case studies, describes the complex differences among individual blind students and the conflicts and ineffective management brought by the mechanical teaching work administration system. Then, it analyses the deep reasons for the teaching management to overlook individual differences of blind students and states appropriate concepts that should be taken in individualized teaching management. At last, the thesis suggests teaching work administration strategies suitable for the practical conditions of schools for the blind and the individual differences of students with sight deficiency, mainly focusing on the variables influencing individualized teaching such as setup of object, organizational form of teaching, organization system and teacher training.
