Abstract


College English teach is an integral part of higher education, and College English Course is a compulsory basic course, too. College English teach is a system which takes English knowledge, the application skill, the study strategy and the Trans-Culture communication as the primary content, takes the foreign language teaching theory as the instruction, and collects many kinds of educational models and the teaching methods. Today with the rapid changes in science and technology, the traditional English teaching methods had been greatly impact of education, education methods, aids and tools are also undergoing rapid change. The Sichuan Vocational and Technical College divides into Chengdu School district and Suining School districts. Because of one school district is far away from another, so the exchange of teaching methods have some limitations. In this study, The Public English Online Learning System is a brand-new educational model which can break through time and space limitations, so that the more English learners can share the outstanding educational resources. Therefore, The Sichuan Vocational and Technical College Public English Online Learning System is constructed by this trend.The Sichuan Vocational and Technical College Public English Online Learning System takes the present popular B/S structure, uses ASP.NET dynamic web page technology, and selects SQL Server 2005 as the database development. It can release the English teachers’lesson plans, online communication with the students, and to modify their own information. The students can complete self-study on the platform, ask English questions to teacher, communicate with teachers and other schoolmates, query operations and results and so on. The system administrators can manage and maintain the system. During development this styem, it follows software engineering specifications, using the current mainstream technology, and existing hardware devices circumstance system.After the functional testing and the integration testing, all functions of the system can be achieved. This system is simple, clear process, a certain degress of practicality. But the design of the interface is not enough in appearance, and some functionality is not perfect. The Sichuan Vocational and Technical College Public English Online Learning System allows networking, and learns new ways to promote the development and applications.
