Abstract


Recently the management of HaiNan Post has taken the mode of the corporate operation. So the original salary management of HaiNan Post is becoming more and more complicated. It can meet the needs no longer since it will inevitably waste a lot of manpower, material and financial resources. How to improve the level of the salary management system and establish an appropriate new system has become an urgent task in the postal information construction in Hainan. A new salary management system should include several parts such as salary administration, bonuse management, report management and system management,etc. Meanwhile it can analyze the salary distribution of the company and help a lot in leadership decisions.In this thesis, the salary management system’s web service and operation work will be carried on the basis of IIS in the Windows 2003 operating system. The database server is Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and the client mini-database is Access. The author uses Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Team Suite as his developing tool. The operating process goes like the following:first, user login:second, level judging. After these two steps, general labor workers can produce, report, edit the wages of their branch distribution while provincial labor office staff can approve the report of wages, visit the provincial information and analyze the wage distribution. With the smart client technology, the new salary management system takes full advantages of web service and it becomes a new generation of intelligent system management system. This thesis highlights the theories and the features of the advanced smart client technology and those of web service and XML. At the same time, the paper follows the thoughts and needs of the specific engineers to report and analyze the design and implementation of the system. It also discusses the development of the salary management system based on smart client technology.
