Abstract

Network teaching is a revolution in higher education. People will predict higher education as well as modern computer network technology use hypermedia system benefited. In fact, many educators and researchers in different ways to the traditional field of higher education network is applied to create various forms of online teaching. We are very necessary in-depth understanding of the various modes of online teaching and for better use. In this study, a traditional classroom teaching and network teaching college English courses combined were investigated last one semester (October 2004 - February 2005). The primary purpose of this study is a combination of such modes, especially in foreign language teaching, to assess the effect of online teaching. Then, further research student teaching in a network environment, online learning behavior. To achieve these two objectives, this study used a quasi-experimental design in succession and descriptive research design. In the quasi-experimental study, we will combine classroom teaching with the network and the corresponding traditional classroom were compared. Based Singh et al (2004) research framework, we examine the combination of teaching groups (experimental group) and traditional teaching group (control group) in student achievement and student views on teaching effectiveness differences. Huazhong Agricultural University, six natural classes (183-year university students) participated in the study. Subjects answered 14 Likert scale (Likert scale) issue and report their English test results, midterm and final grades in English English achievement. In a descriptive study, 61 participated in the online teaching learning students answered questions about online learning behavior and learning problems experienced by three structural formula and two open-ended questions. We use a questionnaire to collect quantitative required in this study and qualitative data. Quantitative analysis of the data by means of the SPSS statistical software. The results show that: the traditional classroom teaching and network teaching mode of combining results in improving learner courses to enhance students' interest and course satisfaction effect is remarkable. In addition, students that are involved in this study will help to provide more Online English Teaching unmistakable valuable information to help solve some of the questions the students, help students actively learn, help to improve the student's hearing. Online learning behavior of students, the study found that students are more inclined to use them often considered useful web resources for learning rather than just interesting resources. Most students use the online listening exercises regularly and that this exercise is very useful, but the majority of students believe that online education provides a more interesting movie.
