Abstract


The team performance would be highly slow down if the members could not share their working progress and blocking issues. As a global software company, besides face to face team meetings, the markets owners, project managers, developers and testers of PerseusSoft are using instant message and email as their daily communication essentials. Because of remote team as well as outsourcing, the team members sometimes are not in the same place and even not the same time zone. It’s difficult for them to have instant message. Email sometimes also could not help them a lot for efficient information sharing. It would highly slow down the working efficiency if the team members don’t know the status of each other or information could not be shared on time. A new information sharing scenario is needed to enhance the synchronization between team members in order to boost the working efficiency. It has become an urgent request of PerseusSoft.First of all, the current weakness of the communication within PerseusSoft teams is described in order to prevent the necessity of making a new communication platform. On this basis, the main functions such as message sending, group management, message management are analyzed. And then the structure of delivery and management systems are analyzed. It is developed by the modular designing method as well and the optimization of message delivery and management methodology is deeply described. The design and implementation of WCF services based massage delivery part; user authentication part and the data base partition part are described with emphasis in detail as key subsystem. And also the advantages against web services are compared. Each team member can know the current status of projects and other members. As a result, the communication efficiency is improved, which also accelerates the project progress. Finally, the extensibility of WCF services based Group Message Communication Platform is summarized.
