Abstract


TV, as one of the most influential ways of publicity, provides human beings with an access to all cultures through electronic media that enables people to transmit culture through video and vocal ways despite the limitation of written characters. However, reports provided by western media are often characterized with open bias and preference. And the ideas from western TV—the dominator of the world information market—are closely related to political and economic interests of different interest groups or powers and constitute an irreplaceable information platform for propaganda and guidance. With its seemingly objectiveness and justice, western TV mixes ideological contents and news reports in entertaining and dramatic ways and with such an ingenuity that lead the observers to believe and accept all the values and judgments contained in those reports and comments without questioning their liability and authenticity. Biased idea has always captured the predominant position of world information market; and the information transmitted has catered for the specific interests of west world, and the principle of fair and objective news has degenerated as the outer qualifications of audience rating. As the biggest country, we must realize the specific information transmitted by the imperceptible propaganda vehicle of western TV media, choose the useful information from their Selective word and scenario of news stories, and capture the mastery of information; what’s more, we have to construct predominant information environment and consensus power from the fineness component during the construction process of conception and ideology with special attention all the time.
