Abstract


Our country is a socialist country with Marxism taken as the guiding ideology, thus the Party and the government attach great importance to the theoretical education of Marxism and have been all the time stressing the necessity to strengthen the theoretical education of Marxism. However, recently there have been some scholars in the theoretical circle who hold that the indoctrinating approach is a specific education method on a certain stage in the developing process of Marxist theory, and that the principal reason for the low pertinences and efficiency of our theoretical education of Marxism in the condition of socialist market economy is that indoctrination denies the college students their due role as the subject of the theoretical education and is thus out of date. Therefore they oppose the indoctrinating theory of Marxism. In this case is the indoctrinating theory of Marxism still scientific in the condition of socialist market economy in our country? Is it necessary to stick to the indoctrinating theory of Marxism? These are all questions that call for our serious thinking.This thesis, through a discussion of the formation and development of the indoctrinating theory of Marxism, intends to elucidate that the indoctrinating theory is an important component of the theoretical treasure house of Marxism, and is a fundamental theory of Marxism and the ideological and political education as well. In the mean time the thesis also dwells on the theoretical and practical significance of sticking to and developing the indoctrinating theory of Marxism in a new era in keeping with the change of the time and the theme of the time and with the establishment and gradual consummation of the system of our socialist market economy. The thesis proposes in practice to take the measures of clinging to the scientificalness of the content to be indoctrinated, stressing the multiplicity of indoctrinating methods, retaining the progressiveness of the subject of indoctrination, and enhancing the efficiency of indoctrination, so as to persist in and develop the indoctrinating theory of Marxism, explore the effective ways to the socialization of advanced culture, overcome the young college students’ prejudice over Marxist theories, get rid of the some people’s wrong ideas about the Marxist indoctrinating theory, with the final purpose to corroborate the Marxist belief of university teachers and students and actually enhance the efficiency of the education of Marxist theories and the ideological and political education.
