Abstract


Sustainable development as a new concept of development , is formally proposed in the 1980s . After World War II , some developed countries have entered a period of rapid economic growth , some of the economies of developing countries has also been a rapid growth . Both developed and developing countries , its economic development is the huge consumption of various resources , worsening environmental pollution as a price , which led to the emergence of a series of global issues . Human beings have to reflect on the face of increasingly serious global problem , and thinking has gone through the path of development . The struggle of the pessimists and the optimists , the sustainable development concept born out . The third generation of central collective leadership with Comrade Jiang Zemin at the core of sustainable development as a national development strategy with a high degree of wisdom and magnificent boldness . The meaning of sustainable development , the nature, characteristics , as well as how to implement the strategy of sustainable development a series of questions to make incisive and visionary elaboration , and these ideas through to progress from economic development, social justice , civilization to population control , resource conservation and social development plans . And rich in content, full of Chinese characteristics , with distinctive characteristics of the times the sustainable development of strategic thinking . This thinking as an important part of Comrade Jiang Zemin at the core of the third generation of collective leadership of the Party's ideological and theoretical guide our country to properly handle economic development and population control , conserve resources , protect the environment, the relationship with major theoretical and practical significance . This paper is divided into five parts . The first part mainly on the sustainable development of the origin and evolution of the ideological and theoretical basis of strategic thinking and international and domestic context of sustainable development ; second and third parts specifically included in this strategic thinking and practical application in the preliminary results achieved ; part IV and part V discusses the relationship between the strategy of rejuvenating the country through science and education strategy and this strategy of sustainable development and the strategy of sustainable development in the scientific concept of development .
