Abstract

Modern architecture develops in the direction of tall building and complex structure. Connected structures is one of the important building system, which is welcomed for its special effects no matter in the outer physical features of building and structure arrangement in the civil architecture and is build more and more with the demands of production in the industrial building.Researches on connected structures are prevalence in the civil architecture but insufficiency because of mini-figure,little-scalar and much complex in the industrial building and is lack in evidence in the latter with the development of production. Studies on static behaviors , dynamic characteristics and seismic responses of one of the connected structures—frame-tube-connected structures are given systematically in this paper, which give a help to a deeper understanding of this special structure. Researches before deepen and some reasonable guidelines for engineer design and analysis has been provided in the paper.New developments of tall building structure in domestic and abroad are summarized and the present study of connected structures is extensively summarized also. New division and comparing of connected structures in the civil and industrial are carried through and distinguish between them. Specialties of connected building are concluded.A simplified model for this kind of structure is proposed in terms of the studying of effects of the static behaviors due to the varieties of the stiffness and location of connection, connections layer and connective approach of joint between the connections and the towers. The variant between normal connected structure and rigid-flexible coupled connected structure is presented. The effects of dynamic characteristic due to the varieties of the stiffness of section, bearing manners, connection layers and stiffness of simple structure are studied by different computation model.Deficiency of seismic design methods in existence is elucidated, and principle of mode selection and judgment on the results are also presented. Effective mass or sum ofmoment of inertia in single direction equal to total mass of structure or total moment of inertia is testified for FEM modal with six DOFS at the same time.Seismic behavior under the longitudinal or transverse is studied, and effects of structure behavior because of the variant of some structure parameters are discussed, furthermore, reliability and validity of the judgment of the paper is testified, method of double modal combination for this structure is proposed at last in the Chap.4.Structure seismic response under the one-dimensional and tow-dimensional ground motion is computed by the time-domain analysis method, and the variance of response between the two dimensions is derived, and results of shapes-separation-spectra-method are checked. Finally, some conclusions about the theoretical analysis method are drawn, and the shortcomings of the paper and the research directions are pointed out for the advanced research.
