Abstract


This paper is to study the content and meaning of the New Culture Movement pre Chen Duxiu modern concept . The early stage of the New Culture Movement , Chen Evolution based demonstration of the social history of the development is a continuous process from junior to senior evolution , which suggested that China must go to the modernization of the inevitable course of history . Chen Duxiu and thus make a comparison of Chinese and Western cultures , the relationship between \China must \Chen used the change of cultural values ??as the key to China's modernization , trying with modern Western culture , especially the \Early in the New Culture Movement , \positivist view of science -based , scientific tendencies .
