Abstract


To resolve the sharp conflicts in modern times which hume’s cepticism opposed the mechanism to the relation of freedom to necessity, Kant produced his theory of the transcendental freedom. The tactics kant settled the dispute isthe way of two — divided, it contains the distinction of two sorts ofpropositions, the distinction of two implications that subject term concerns, the distinction of two principles, the distinction of two characters of subject and the distinction of two propositions of antithetic. By the series of distinctions the transcendental freedom is established.As an essential part of kant’s freedom theory, the theory of the transcendental freedom has a close relation with much important conceptions of kant’s philosophy, such as causality, the transcendental apperception, thing in themselves and the practical freedom. Because of these relations, the transcendental freedom play a key role in the philosophy of kant.
