With the development of our country’s socialism marketing economy, the electricity system reformation moves towards deepening constantly. Nowadays, the separation between power generation and power line has been settled; therefore, competing the price surfing on the net has been an inevitable trend. So in has been the most important task of each power plant to improve the economic of thermal power generating units and lower the coal consumption.The structure of units and the system are getting more complicating, so at present, the steam turbine generator units’ economic thermal dynamic experiment has been an important and unique method to keep track of the units’ characteristic completely and to realize the economic influence from unit’s structure and operation.This paper refers to the criteria about the steam turbine generator units’ economic thermal dynamic experiment both in domestic and overseas. It aims at the structure of 125MW units in JinZhuShan Power Plant and its operational technical characteristic and does economic experiment and research which estimate the economic function of 125MW units through a comprehensive, accurate and normal way.By experiment, we analysis the units’ all sort of operation way and function indicator under different load points; calculate the experimental value and modificative value of the power-up coal consumption; analysis the capability and economic of units and system in details; During this period, we proceed a partial and quantitative analysis according to the figure from thermal dynamic experiment and the theory of equivalent enthalpy drop; find out the location and reason that arouses the increase of heat consumption as well as the loss of energy in order to take pointed and effective measures .With reference to some other thermal dynamic experiment, this original subject makes great effort on the accuracy, standardization and comprehension, having its specialty on many aspects such as the system separation, experiment procedure, calculation approach, and estimation process. Especially, during the experiment, we have preceded beneficial probe into so many aspects such as taking some outstanding measures in order to guarantee the system leak both inside and outside in the qualified range, the uncertainty analysis of measuring result, the method of steam turbine exhausting loss and exhausting point’s state, the thermal dynamic calculating program based on EXCEL and the analysis of the result though the theory of equivalent enthalpy.
