The paper summarizes the research status and development trend of domestic and foreign petroleum resin based on catalytic polymerization method modified petroleum resin SP5 used instead of the imports evenly agent products 40MS rubber blends , and 40MS SP5 physical and chemical properties and application performance comparison . Cationic copolymerization , the AlCl 3 catalyst copolymerization of methyl methacrylate and C9 raw materials , get SP5 . Single factor experiment and orthogonal experiment method , were investigated reaction time, amount of catalyst, the amount of methyl methacrylate , reaction temperature and other process conditions on product yield , the optimal reaction conditions for the reaction temperature of 24 ° C , the reaction time was 4 hours , the catalyst is used in an amount of 1.4% methyl methacrylate in an amount of 11% , and under this condition , the disposable product with a yield of 32.45% . A preliminary study of the mechanism of the synthesis process, SP5 and SP5 production process distillate recycling and wastewater treatment methods were studied , and a by - product ammonium alum (NH 4 Al (SO 4 ) 2 ) and aluminum hydroxide ( Al ( OH ) 3 < / sub > ) , distillate was subjected to the treatment, after repeated cycle yield up to 35.75% . By IR , UV spectra and other means SP5 40MS structure characterization of the physical and chemical properties of the softening point of the two substances , bromine price , intrinsic viscosity , product C , O , N element content were determined , thermogravimetric and differential thermal analysis and comparison of the difference of their thermal stability results show that the SP5 and 40MS physical and chemical properties and structure are basically the same . On this basis , the use of a type of rubber formulation by blending rubber hardness , tensile strength , abrasion , elongation , Mooney viscosity, etc. Determination of mechanical properties and the rubber slice scanning electron microscopy analysis , were investigated SP5 is 40ms in the rubber blends for the uniform mixing of the different polarity rubber and an inorganic filler dispersion effect , the results show that the effect of the two substances are used as the homogenizing agent in the rubber blends , modified petroleum resin SP5 replace imported 40MS is used as the agent of the uniformity of the blend rubber .
