Abstract


Cooperative design and analysis environment is an aircraft-oriented distributed cooperative design system. In the background of cooperative design and analysis environment, research on communication technology in cooperative design domain is done in this thesis.Firstly, with cooperative design and analysis environment, whole requirement is analyzed and summarized in the way of transport layer, collaboration layer and application layer.Secondly, the method and technology to satisfy the requirement of every layer are established, include:(1) Transport layer——flexible and universal group communication serviceThe design of group communication service is described in detail. A new mixed communication model, which is partial to client/server, is presented; multiplex communication protocols are supported and can be extended; application-oriented framework is described; system configuration and customization is presented.(2) Collaboration layer——XML-based membership protocolsA new object-oriented method to design and implement XML-based communication protocols are presented and applied to membership protocols: the communication behavior of membership protocols is analyzed; with the aid of UML, the requiring, responding and notifying protocols are designed; the method of mapping UML to XML schema and the flow of packing and parsing XML-based protocols are described detailedly.(3) Application layer——XML-based incremental cooperative modeling protocolsTechnology for exchange of product data and new requirement of cooperative design are analyzed, new feature-based incremental cooperative modeling protocols are presented; cooperative modeling method, and the content and format is explain in detail; the protocols are described by XML.Finally, a CATIA cooperative design tool is implemented with the resolve methods, and the methods are proved valid.
