Abstract


From the Cohesion and Coherence and Theme propulsion mode two aspects of Chinese Discourse of a comparative study in order to reveal the Chinese-English translation. Analysis of the different characteristics of the Chinese and English languages ??Cohesive devices and discourse mode of development, pointed out that the Chinese-English translation translator mode of discourse appropriate conversion, consciously applying appropriate thematic progression patterns is to achieve translation one of the key natural and acceptability. This paper aims to study their difference by analyzing the characteristics of both English and Chinese. In addition, the article discusses Chinese to English, because it is the difficulty of my students to learn English. Cohesion and coherence relations are inseparable. Convergence is one of the effective means of discourse coherence. Halliday Cohesive divided into two types: grammatical cohesion and lexical cohesion, the article focuses on the means of grammatical cohesion are closely connected with the discourse Progression: take care of omissions, substitutions, and connection. By a comparative analysis of some Chinese-English Text Translation instance, we found that the Chinese and English language Discourse Coherence convergence means is different, mainly because Chinese and English belong to different language, have their own language features: Chinese parataxis English heavy Hypotaxis. The article also discussed and further the Chinese Discourse Translation cohesive devices appropriate conversion to follow some rules. For example: Chinese to English when Chinese recurring nouns usually want to convert into English pronoun, a lot of sentences with no subject in Chinese translated into English you want to add the subject to comply with the grammatical structure of English, Chinese discourse connected component is often recessive, and is dominant in most cases in English and other. Thematic Progression is another important means of discourse coherence.
