Abstract


Printed mathematical expressions recognition system mainly includes mathematical expression positioning, mathematical expressions symbol recognition, mathematical expressions structure analysis and mathematical expression reconstruction four parts. Mathematical expression positioning is the first step of mathematical formula recognition, is the key. The science and technology literature mathematical expression is divided into isolated expressions and embedded expressions, in view of the characteristics of Chinese documents, this paper puts forward a kind of based on the statistical characteristics of the decision tree and the BP neural network combining the mathematical expression positioning method, this method, positioning isolated expression and embedded expressions, the ID3 algorithm to do text attribute analysis, structure decision tree, the use of formation rules of positioning document isolated expression; Extraction in addition to isolated expression outside the other row level connected block feature training BP neural network positioning embedded expression.
