Abstract

Geographic information is an important information resource for the development and progress of modern society, and the Internet prompted GIS applications rapidly growing popularity of in-depth aspects of social life. Various types of information management systems, geographic information systems (Geographical Information System) is the most rapidly developing information systems in the world. Geographic information system is the financial computer graphics and database in one, coupled with graphics and data storage and processing spatial information of the high-tech, its location and attributes organically combined, according to actual needs accurate, true and the illustrated output to the user, to meet the requirements of the system construction, management, and spatial information. Spatial data analysis features and graphical representation of data, data and more intuitive analysis, data visualization. Unique to the help of GIS spatial analysis features and visual expression, various auxiliary analysis and decision. For a long time, the school's management information system (Management Information System) focus on the system attribute data input, processing, analysis and management, almost put aside for the geographic information. This is a comprehensive analysis of system information, in particular about location information is not enough. The campus management data, many of which are built on the basis of spatial data. For example, to solve the water supply problems of campus life, we must first know near all of the distribution of the water supply network, water supply pipeline thickness, as well as existing pipeline load level, the need for the laying of new pipelines, how laying works in contradiction with other pipeline etc., needs to have the exact spatial positioning graphical display positioning data and spatial queries. However, in the past, the basic positioning management and query of campus management of spatial data by means of hand-, time-consuming and labor data dynamically update slow, not easy contact analysis of campus facilities to its geographic features, it is difficult to adapt to the modernization of the campus. Therefore, the development the campus GIS management system is very necessary. Campus public space and how to manage the investigation, analysis, research, this article discusses the development based on GIS campus public space management system about GIS systems software platform of choice, system analysis, system data structure design, and system functions to achieve problems. The main research work content and the results achieved: 1 briefly introduces the concept of geographic information systems, digital campus, systematic exposition of research and development at home and abroad about GIS digital campus construction profile; 2, representation of the school's existing public space management status, summarizes the characteristics of the management method, exposure to the management of the defects of the current situation, and its drawbacks, analysis of the background reasons and necessity of the construction of the campus public space management system based on GIS, and a brief description of the system can play a role after completion, and then given a detailed system design, and finally introduce the system implementation process; 3, to Visual Basic6.0 as development tools, the use of Access establish public space property database, plus the famous the graphical management capacity of the secondary development of GIS software vendor ESRI components MapObjects2.2 developed a GIS-based campus public space management system.
