Abstract


Optimization theory and methods of the study began in the forties of the twentieth century, due to the development of the computer, before its rapid development, traditional numerical methods based on the iterative principle, and in industrial production, the economy, etc. The field has been widely used. With further research, emerging new practice, optimization theory and method of research still become an urgent need. The genetic algorithm is attracted widespread attention in recent years in the field of computer science and optimization the bionics algorithms proposed the theory of biological evolution. Genetic algorithms as a global optimization search algorithm with simple generic, robust and strong, suitable for parallel processing, as well as a wide range of applications and other notable features. As a search algorithm, the basic framework of the genetic algorithm has been formed in a variety of problem solving and application of its advantages, but also exposed many shortcomings and deficiencies in the theory and application of technical. Genetic algorithm with local search methods organically combine is an effective method to improve the performance of genetic algorithms. Chaos is a universal phenomenon exists in nonlinear systems with randomness and ergodicity. The chaotic movement has a strong change of the initial value sensitivity to initial conditions and its weak change will cause great changes in the behavior of the system. Therefore, the use of chaotic variables search easier than random search out of the local solution more advantages. Structural optimization design is the use of optimization techniques to find the optimal solution to meet the design constraints. The optimization method is the basic method of structural optimization design, the common structure optimization method is divided into non-direct method and the direct method. Structural optimization design consists of three phases: a mathematical model of the structure of an engineering design problem is converted into a mathematical problem; choose a reasonably effective method of calculation; preparation of the computer program calculated. The research and analysis related to the contents of the genetic algorithm and its applications in structural optimization design. The development status, the basic structure of the main features and improved technology as well as the study of the structure optimization design background, development status and characteristics of the genetic algorithm. The basis of a simple genetic algorithm, the chaos genetic algorithm based on real-coded and chaos theory, the use of a common test functions the algorithm performance test, and the test results were analyzed and summarized. Optimize the characteristics of the design for the structure, the establishment of a genetic algorithm applied to structural optimization design optimization model genetic algorithm for structural optimization design process, the chaos genetic algorithm is used on 25 space truss and 72 space truss structural optimization and design, and to prove the effectiveness of the algorithm.
