Abstract


With the proposal of the concept of \At home and abroad in many parts of the WiFi signal coverage domain , as long as the portable electronic products with WiFi terminal , you can access the Internet . ARM is a portable electronic product development mainstream chip , therefore, the ARM architecture WiFi wireless communication terminal has a very important significance . Based on the Samsung S3C2440 ARM processor and embedded Linux operating system , the application of the Marvell 88w8686 WiFi wireless network controller , to achieve a WiFi hot spot areas to access the Internet , the power consumption of the wireless communication terminal . On the software side , the use of ADS integrated development platform bootloader embedded Linux as the operating system , to use Qtopia desktop environment , and as an embedded browser using Qt-based Konqueror . This paper describes the part of the wireless communication terminal software implementation from the bottom to the top . Including Bootloader transplant , transplantation of the Linux kernel , root file system of production , WiFi wireless LAN , LCD , touch screen and other device drivers transplantation , the Qtopia desktop environments transplantation and Konqueror browser transplantation , and finally a brief introduction to the man-machine interface and power management application implementation . Has been tested , the wireless communication terminal can access to the Internet , WiFi signal coverage area by mouse, keyboard and touch screen operation . Power management features , the system can normally switch between the normal state , a low-power state and a dormant , proper sleep and wake .
