In a highly developed information society, digitalization and internetization has inevitably become the trend of television broadcasting. Since 2008, motivated by the opportunity of relocation to its new complex, SiChuan Television( SCTV) has been developing an SCTV Center Technology Platform, which consists of the comprehensive media information system, the broadcasting studio system and the broadcasting general controlling system. Upon completion, this platform is expected to feature fully digitalized production, editing, broadcasting and storage; unified resource controlling; and management sharing.Being an essential part of the platform, the broadcasting general controlling system administers scheduling, processing and monitoring of all input and output signals. It also provides the subsystems with clock and synchronization signals. Most importantly, this system is the hub of program signals, and directly tasked for broadcasting programs of all channels.Up to date, the broadcasting general controlling system is accomplished and installed in the new SCTV complex. It has successfully passed the internal testing, and is functioning effectively. As the development of the new SCTV broadcasting system furthers, the effectiveness of this system should provide a useful reference to other television stations that are upgrading towards digitalization. The dissertation is organized as follows:Introduction to the development and trend of both digital television and television broadcasting system;Elaboration of the new SCTV broadcasting system project, description of functions and composition of various subsystems;Highlights of the design of and solution to studio sub-controlling system , including the design principles, chosen equipments, etc;Presentation of the broadcasting system, including the requirement analysis and design, especially the design and realization of the software;Summary, conclusion and future work.
