As we all know , with respect to the natural sciences , the social sciences today seemed more lag or not mature enough. How to correctly understand and grasp the complicated social phenomenon , is still in front of us a huge problem. The reason is a very important aspect of the study due to social sciences and change process is often difficult or can not be repeated , and therefore can not use a direct approach to study the real experiment . The advent of computer and rapid spread , making use of computer experiments as a real experiment of the \In fact, in recent years, computer experiment method has been in many areas of the social sciences ( such as economics , sociology , etc. ) to obtain applications , and this trend is developing rapidly . This paper aims at the characteristics and traditions of social science research methods , to explore the use of computer experimental methods of social science research necessity, feasibility and the role and further analyzing computer experiments epistemology and methodology value . The first part outlines the traditional methods of social science research . By analyzing the social sciences is different from the characteristics of natural science and social science research in the use of traditional methods , these methods are clarified in human behavior and social phenomena in the grasp of the role and the face of the inherent limitations , the need to use new approach to solving social phenomena can not be copied problem, and this method is the computer experiment . The second part describes the computer experiment in social science research methods and their application
