VSAT (VERY SMALL APERTRUE TERMINAL) satellite data communication network is an important field of communications applications , VSAT network consists of a central station and a plurality of remote network management system components. VSAT network installation and maintenance advantages of low cost, easy to set up a large network optimization , has a fully functional network management system , the basic unattended remote station , the station 's opening , operation, management , maintenance, are at the center by configuring station network management center is completed. In this paper, a Ku-band VSAT data communication network construction requirements of the VSAT network management system functionality needs analysis , summed up the remote unattended problems brought to the network management and introduces engineering construction solutions adopted . This paper also discusses in detail the NMS 's primary and backup links automatically switch automatically adjusts uplink power , remote software updating and maintenance and other related functional processes . Network management system has been developed in a data communications network running for nearly two years to complete the remote remote opening , operation, management, maintenance work to ensure a communication link availability requirements, with a good prospect .
