Abstract


In the past two decades, the internationalization of the firm at an unprecedented rate. This requires expatriate staff in their daily work fast and accurately recognize different cultural characteristics of the host country and effectively adapt to these cultural differences. Effective cross-cultural adjustment and adaptation to Western scholars to help expatriate staff conducted extensive research, cross-cultural training is that they often study will involve the theme. Although more and more Chinese people were sent to work overseas, the difficulty of the assignment work has not yet attracted sufficient attention of Chinese enterprises. Provide cross-cultural training for expatriate employees, to help them acquire the knowledge and skills of working and living in a different cultural environment, very few such enterprises. In this thesis, drawing on Western cross-cultural theory expatriate employees in China, cross-cultural training for empirical research, research involving the effectiveness of cross-cultural training of expatriate staff and their preferences in the content and methods of training. The paper questionnaire twenty-four company sent ten nine countries staff training and preferences. In the sampling process, samples of the same enterprise expatriates sent to the same host country only a maximum of three. Questionnaire to collect the data, the quantitative analysis by SPSS statistical software. Training status of data analysis showed that: Compared with a similar survey conducted in the West, despite the high demand of expatriate Chinese cross-cultural training, such training enterprises rarely. And the shallow training can not be provided by the current enterprise to meet the training needs of expatriates. Survey, the validity of the assignment language training before decreasing with the assignment of prolonged phenomenon reflects the lack of training of the shallow. This article also twenty-two the relative importance of the training for overseas work is essential investigation. The survey requirements expatriates to content in accordance with the importance of scoring, then the mean sort of training in accordance with the scoring and analysis. Overall, expatriates, a higher degree of concern for surface culture, reflects the lack of knowledge of their deep-seated cultural differences and their impact. Analysis of the the twelve training content will also the importance of order and another to compare the results of a similar survey conducted in Western expatriates. The difference between the two can be found: expatriates the importance of specific training content influenced by their cultural values ??and preferences. Expatriates also part of the training content difference of emphasis by variance analysis to explain differences. Statistical analysis of data and e-mail written interview based on the preferences of the survey sample training methods, the paper tentatively proposes a cross-cultural training for expatriate staff.
