Abstract


The 2008 Olympics game is going held in Beijing. The Olympics game is helpful to Beijing and China. It’s a great chance for Beijing to improve the development of economy and adjust economics structure and go ahead along the new-industry road. The study of Beijing Olympic economic computable general equilibrium model is just used to research the balance of inquiry and supply and the structure of products with input-output technology and econometrics model according the computable general equilibrium theory. The paper could supply the enough evidence to the adjustment of Beijing economic structure, and is a beneficial use of computable general equilibrium theory.The computable general equilibrium theory comes from general equilibrium of Walras, which is general used both in developed countries and developing countries through the development about 40 years, and it’s approved a very effective policy research tool. CGE model is the combine of input-output model and linear programming model, it describes the substitutable and exchangeable relationship in the production and uses the non-liner function to change some conventional liner functions . CGE model describes the supply, inquiry and the equilibrium with some equations, and require the balance of all the markets.CGE model makes the clear relationship between the structure of microcosmic and macrocosmic, and includes the description for the cause and effect relation and behavior mechanism. Through the CGE model, all the disputes to the choice of different policies could come down to the difference between the behavior hypothesis, the parameter of the model and the aim of the policies. Therefore, CGE model is an appropriate analyzing tool when the price, the structure of economics and macro-economics are the effective factors.The structure of this paper is to make the final inquiry model first, then to make the supplying model with the input-output technology and liner programming technology, and to analyze the balance between the inquiry and the supply. Chapter one introduces the development of computable general equilibrium theory, chapter two analyze the situation of Beijing industry structure, chapter three introduce the measure to improve the CGE model and makes the Beijing CGE model, chapter fourforecasts and analyzes the equilibrium situation between the supply and demand in 2008 and 2010. The last chapter gives the conclusion and suggestion.
