With the increasing levels of residential requirements , in recent years there has been such a short pier shear wall structure . Short shear wall structure between a structural system between the frame structure and shear wall structure , commonly used in small high-rise residential . While this structural system has been largely used for the actual project , but their theory and internal force analysis is not perfect . This article is in this case non-linear finite element analysis of the pair in an eight-story residential structure coupled short-pier shear wall structure . In this paper, the finite element analysis method simplified simulation of this flange short pier shear wall structure , and checking the correctness of the finite element model created by the contrast of the analytical solution and the numerical solution . Conducting coupled short-pier shear wall performance analysis , using the equivalent load approach , according to the load on the bottom of the structure moment the principle of equal role in each layer of the concentrated load is equivalent to the role in the entire shear wall side inverted triangular load , so that a comprehensive study of coupled short-pier shear walls from cracking to the destruction of the whole process . This paper analyzes the reinforcement ratio , axial compression ratio, and even the tie beam across a high ratio of short- limb shear wall under the influence , and gives a number of reference views . Finally, with engineering examples , summarize the engineering algorithms are used in the design of the short leg walls . Through the engineering examples illustrates the structural design TAT and SATWE different at reasonable proposal , after a comparative analysis . In summary, due to the short pier shear wall structure or a study is not perfect structure system . This article is part of the short leg walls performance , also need a clear definition of short leg walls , mechanical properties , failure modes, dynamic characteristics , seismic performance and design methods of systematic research .
