Abstract


Public scientific literacy is an important part of the quality of the important indicators reflect the competitiveness of a country or region, academia and government decision-making departments to provide data on the understanding of the public in science literacy, constantly monitoring the public scientific literacy trends, and quantitative basis, has an important influence on the development of the social economy and significance. Therefore, this concept was put forth by the attention of the world, especially in developed countries. The United States as early as 1952, the first public scientific literacy survey, since the 1970s, some developed countries generally conduct a public scientific literacy survey, hosted by the China Association for Science and Technology of China in 1992, the first national public scientific literacy survey has been carried out six times, and basically formed a survey every two years institutionalized mode. Some domestic provinces, municipalities and the late 1990s, have also carried out a survey of public scientific literacy. Many scholars at home and abroad on these survey data, draw many important conclusions, made a lot of scientific literacy views. This article is based on the Hunan Province, the second, Changsha City, the first public scientific literacy survey data for statistical analysis. Numerous literature references for the research public scientific literacy, to absorb the outstanding achievements of their research, and explore their research not related to the place, to finalize the contents of this article: Hunan Province, Changsha, public scientific literacy impact factors analysis, evaluation and analysis of public scientific literacy in Hunan Province. Public scientific literacy influencing factors analysis using path analysis, public scientific literacy survey's grading analysis the investigators have the level of scientific literacy education, occupation, 6 year family income information indicators of The relationship between basic logical relationship to establish the path model, draw the path coefficient between the six indicators and scientific literacy, level of education significantly affect the public's scientific literacy see from the results, on the the model educational level in Hunan Province The total impact of the scientific literacy of 0.467, the total impact of Changsha model educational level of scientific literacy for 0.458, career and family income has little effect on scientific literacy. Public scientific literacy evaluation and analysis of the re-evaluation of public scientific literacy indicators empowerment, comprehensive evaluation and analysis of indicators empower TOPSIS method calculated Hunan Province 14 City, State Public Scientific Literacy ranking, which reflects the scientific literacy of cities, states, the overall situation. By analyzing the results, this paper also raise the level of public scientific literacy proposed some countermeasures and suggestions.
