Abstract


The United Kingdom is the world's first industrial revolution , the first to enter the capitalist society . In the 18th and 19th centuries , the British created the world's most advanced industrial civilization and technological civilization and the history of education in order to promote science education famous Bacon , Spencer , Huxley , and other scholars . However, at this time, science and technology education in the UK lags behind in the development of domestic industrial and scientific , but also backward in less economically developed countries such as Germany , France , in the United Kingdom . Analysis of why in the case of industrial prosperity and technological advancement of science education lags behind , is conducive to our understanding of the relationship between education and social development and constraints affecting the development of education . Through the analysis , the authors summarize the factors restricting the development of the British Science Education following areas : early labor-intensive industry is not only to promote the development of science and education , but because of the extensive use of child labor , hindering the development of education ; science education thoughts can not be equated science education progress, only shows that the dominant issues of science education at that time ; deeply rooted in classical humanist education in school , no development of science education space ; science education to the lack of a large number of qualified teachers ; church long-term control of school education , the main religious education , opposition science education ; country too late on school management, and management are inadequate .
