Abstract


The problem of the the bank huge amount of non-performing assets is the main obstacle facing China 's financial system, deepening reform , the high proportion of non-performing loans is a major risk of the financial industry . China's four state-owned commercial banks - Commercial Bank of China , China Construction Bank , Bank of China and Agricultural Bank of China is the main financial institutions in China , plays a pivotal role in the development of China's national economy , but at the same time the state-owned commercial banks' bad assets , 90 percent of solve the four major state-owned commercial bank 's non-performing assets in the four state-owned commercial banks , will be the key to dealing with the banking sector 's non-performing asset problems . In this paper, the non-performing assets discussion is divided into two parts by the formation time . The first part of the stock of non-performing assets , formed in 1996 . Mainly due to institutional factors , and more from policy loans , the focus should be the government under the auspices of the relevant departments jointly to resolve non-performing assets . The second part of the non-performing assets of the newborn , generated after 1996 . This part of the non-performing assets was mainly due to the bank 's own institutional reasons mainly by the bank's internal digestion solve , the focus should be the prevention of a new generation of a large number of non-performing assets and improve the bank's own institution-building .
