Abstract


Money market funds in the United States in the 1970s and the advent of a rapid change in the original model of the U.S. mutual fund industry. In the 1970s, the stock market funds dominate the U.S. mutual fund market. However, in the next 10-20 years, the money market funds has been rapid development. To 1980, the number of funds to reach 106 by the zero breakthrough, then rapidly increased to 959 in 1990, the number of money market funds accounted for 24.1% of the total number of U.S. mutual funds reached a historical peak. Into the 21st century, the momentum of the development of money market funds, although weakened, but remained the level of development in the 1990s and increased slightly. China in December 2003, launched the first money market fund --- the Hua'an now Fuli since the end of March 2006 issued a total of more than 30 money market funds, and achieved good results. There are indications that the development of China's money market funds in the ascendant. From money market funds: the first part: the money market fund mechanism as the starting point, the meaning of money market funds, features and advantages. Part II: in-depth analysis on the situation and development of the money market fund reason. Through empirical comparison shows that the Sino-US money market funds generated background, the status quo, and the sustainable development of the cause of huge differences, laid the foundation for further analysis and research behind. Part III: Comparative Analysis of Sino-US money market fund positioning, draw many useful lessons and inspiration, which will benefit our young money market fund industry is healthy and rapid development. Part IV: a detailed analysis of the investment strategy of the U.S. money market funds, there is a clear positive correlation effects found that U.S. pension and money market funds, which is the Fund's investment strategy of China's money market options, provide a valuable reference. Part V: Deep Interpretation of China's money market fund's investment strategy, and try to transition, a new road safety and mobility, the core idea is: the money market fund will become China's pension fund investment tools, is one of the effective strategies for long-term development of the fund industry, it is also China's Social Security System is established and an important part of a sound. Only in this way, in order to give full play to the positive correlation effect of pension and money market funds, and realize both positive interaction and common development.
