Since more than a century , the human at the same time enjoy the modern industrial revolution and modern science and technology has brought a high degree of material civilization , suddenly found himself a serious threat for their own survival and development are handmade . We must act , can harmonious development of science, technology , and human society . To carry out the STS education teaching and learning of two aspects of the investigation I carried out in five secondary schools in Yueyang City in 2004 high school physics practical basis , introduced the concept of STS education , discusses the historical background and the reasons for the STS education , introduction abroad as well as the development of STS education , presented the theoretical basis of the STS education , starting from the development of science, technology, impact on the community , based on pedagogy , pedagogy, educational psychology , ethics , discussed in need of STS education in physics teaching specific implementation content, methods , and so on. Finally, the conclusions of this study , our high school physics STS education into their own comments and suggestions . As for the number of views and opinions presented in this paper , will await further improve in the future of teaching practice and development .
